1. What is Better You?
Better You is an online platform connecting consumers with providers in the health, fitness and beauty space through exclusive deals
and review driven search results.
2. How do I join?
Simply click on the sign up link in the upper right hand corner of the site.
3. Is it free?
Absolutely. Your access to Better You.com providers is completely free. When you make a purchase for a service through our site, we
take a small percentage and the provider gets the rest.
4. What kind of providers are on Better You?
Any provider of services in the health, fitness and beauty space. Feel free to browse around our ever growing database of providers via
our search page.
5. What kind of deals do you have?
It's totally up to the providers to determine what kind of discounts they'll offer, but Better You encourages providers to offer limited
time deal offerings that they can accommodate in a shorter time frame so you don't have to wait two months to book your appointment. As
such, the deal section of our site, is a dynamic, user driven marketplace that changes constantly. Check out the search page to see what's available right now.
6. Why should I use Better You?
We all want to look and feel good, but oftentimes convenience, quality or affordability get in our way. Better You cuts out the
middleman between you and a better you by allowing you to connect with independent providers directly. Without the overhead of a gym or
spa, services are more affordable, convenient and customized. Reviews and friend recommendations also allow you to find the perfect
provider for your needs.
7. Do you have to be in the greater Los Angeles area to use the site?
We're focusing on this area initially but will be expanding out soon. Click on the sign up link in the upper right hand corner of the
site so you can be the first to know where we're headed next.
8. Does Better You protect my privacy?
You bet. We wil not sell or share your information with anyone. For a long, in depth description please feel free to read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
9. When you say features are "coming soon" how soon is that?
Soon. Like, really soon. Seriously, we're working day and night to roll out lots of new features and will notify you the second they're
ready to go.
Technical Answers
1. Where do I update my provider profile information?
When you're logged in, click on the 'Dashboard' link in the upper right hand corner of the site. Then on the 'Dashboard Home' section
click the 'Edit Profile' button under the bio image.
2. How do I upload a profile photo?
In the 'Edit Profile' section (see, Question #1 above), click the 'Edit Photo Gallery' link under the bio image. From there you can
browse for a photo on your computer and click 'Upload' to add it. The first photo in your gallery will be the photo that first appears
when viewing your profile as well as the photo that shows up in search results.
3. Where do I enter the services I provide?
In the Provider Dashboard, click on the 'Locations & Services' tab. Once there, click the 'Manage Services' sub-tab.
4. What if the service type I offer isn't listed in the 'Type' field?
You can create a service without selecting anything in the 'Type' field. The 'Type' field is simply there to help categorize our
providers to increase accuracy with search results for consumers. That being said, this site is intended for those providing services
within the health, fitness, and beauty industries, so make sure your service fits that criteria.
5. Why do I need to create a service to create a deal?
By defining a service you're establishing your normal rate for that service. A deal uses that rate as means of showing
consumers how much they'll save by taking advantage of your deal. It's a great way to entice consumers that haven't used your services
before.
6. Is there a way to import my current clients?
Not yet, but we're working on functionality to import your existing address book from a various number of sources such as gmail.
7. How do I change my password?
In the 'Edit Profile' section (see, Question #1 above), click the 'Change Password' button and fill out the form.
8. I forgot my password, can you send it to me?
Passwords are encrypted for privacy protection, but you can reset your password by clicking the 'Login' link in the upper right
hand corner of the site, and then clicking the 'Forgot Your Password?' link. This will trigger an email to you with a new
password. After you do that you can always change it back to something familiar (see, Question #7 above).
9. How do I invite friends to join?
